- What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!
- And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
For You, Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. - Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not become bitter against them.
- Not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
- The one who overcomes will be clothed the same way, in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
- And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.”
- But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
- For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.
- May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
- What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.
- But let justice roll out like waters,
And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - For nothing will be impossible with God.
- Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!
Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - I have set the Lord continually before me;
Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth,
But the poor hears no rebuke. - Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
- Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose trust is the Lord.
For he will be like a tree planted by the water
That extends its roots by a stream,
And does not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of drought,
Nor cease to yield fruit. - Do not let kindness and truth leave you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and a good reputation
In the sight of God and man. - The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.
In the gale and the storm is His way,
And clouds are the dust beneath His feet. - “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My favor will not be removed from you,
Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,”
Says the Lord who has compassion on you. - Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is unsearchable. - No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.
And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.
