- Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.
- And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
- I will bless the Lord at all times;

- Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
- The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.
- A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is! - What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
- The vexation of a fool is known at once,
but the prudent ignores an insult. - Thus says the Lord:
“Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” - But I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
- Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
- For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
- Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
- Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him,
but the righteous shall live by his faith. - Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.
