| In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness. | And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. |
| That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” | But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” |
| Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. | Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. |
| The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these. | And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. |

| Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. | There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. |
| No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. | No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. |
| There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. | There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. |
| So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. | Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. |
| O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. | Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law. | Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. |
| But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. |
| Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. | The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. |
| No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. | See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. | See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. |
| Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. | And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. |
| He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. | He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. |
| For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. | For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. |
| I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” | O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” |
| Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God. | For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. |
