Not (4/4)

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
Eloquent words are not fitting for a fool; even less are lies fitting for a ruler.Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool— how much worse lying lips to a ruler!
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
“Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord.“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord. “Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.
What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
You and I are Jews by birth, not ‘sinners’ like the Gentiles. Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
When a crime is not punished quickly, people feel it is safe to do wrong. When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
