Chinese (traditional)- The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
- Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
- It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,
and after vows to make enquiry. - There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
- And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
- Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
- Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
- And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
- For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
- But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
- My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable:
but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. - For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life:
weeping may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the morning. - Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
- But godliness with contentment is great gain.
- Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
- Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
- Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
- One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
- As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
- Remove far from me vanity and lies:
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with food convenient for me. - Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.Next verse!With image
