- Work brings profit,
but mere talk leads to poverty! - But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
- And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
- He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
- For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
- No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
- God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
- For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
- So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken. - Fools have no interest in understanding;
they only want to air their own opinions. - We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
- All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
- Don’t trap yourself by making a rash promise to God
and only later counting the cost. - For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.
- He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken. - The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
- The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

- Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”
- Pride leads to conflict;
those who take advice are wise.
But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
