Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling. Proverbs 20:3	It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling. speaking peace anger

And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5:5	Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? faith Jesus overcoming
God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor? James 4:12	There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? law judgment salvation
For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Ephesians 5:9	For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth. light goodness righteousness
And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped. Zechariah 14:9	And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one. God kingdom
But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. John 3:6	That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. rebirth Spirit
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” John 6:29	Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. faith God Jesus
The greater my wisdom, the greater my grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow. Ecclesiastes 1:18	For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow. wisdom sadness mind
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe. Psalm 4:8	I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. safety rest peace
You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. Matthew 7:13-14	Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. eternal life salvation
Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29	Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. speaking gossip goodness
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1	Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. love speaking angels
And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! Luke 6:33	And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. righteousness reward
So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God. 1 Corinthians 8:4	As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. idols food
Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. Deuteronomy 13:4	Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. awe listening following
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. Psalm 62:5	My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. soul rest hope
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Colossians 2:16-17	Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. food sabbath judgment
Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, but only the Lord can give an understanding wife. Proverbs 19:14	House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord. money relationships
Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved. Psalm 80:19	Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. salvation dependence almighty

But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
