Others (2/3)

  • Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
  • But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
  • Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
  • The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,
    and whoever utters slander is a fool.
  • Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
  • He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
    and speaks truth in his heart;
    who does not slander with his tongue
    and does no evil to his neighbor,
    nor takes up a reproach against his friend.
  • For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
  • Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
  • And a highway shall be there,
    and it shall be called the Way of Holiness;
    the unclean shall not pass over it.
    It shall belong to those who walk on the way;
    even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.
  • Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
  • But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
  • Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
  • For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
  • Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
  • Because you are precious in my eyes,
    and honored, and I love you,
    I give men in return for you,
    peoples in exchange for your life.
  • Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
  • If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
  • And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
  • As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything.
  • If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
  • Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
  • But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
  • And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
