- Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered. - The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad. - My mouth is filled with your praise,
declaring your splendor all day long. - I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set my heart on your laws. - For the word of the Lord is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does. - I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have preserved my life. - How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity! - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. - The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. - He sent out his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave. - Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth. - Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. - He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. - I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever. - I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth. - I will extol the Lord at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips. - Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - Surely the righteous will never be shaken;
they will be remembered forever. - Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. - The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love. - Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.
Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me.When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.
