- Lying lips are abomination to the Lord:
but they that deal truly are his delight. - Oh how great is thy goodness,
which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;
which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee
before the sons of men! - Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
- But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
- But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
- He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men. - And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.
- But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.
- Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all
such as are appointed to destruction. - But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:
but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.
- Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - With my soul have I desired thee in the night;
yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early:
for when thy judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
- Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
- But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
- And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
- Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
- Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
- And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
