- For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
- As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
- Deliver my soul, O Lord,
from lying lips,
and from a deceitful tongue. - I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
- And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
- Envy thou not the oppressor,
and choose none of his ways.
For the froward is abomination to the Lord:
but his secret is with the righteous. - It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - God shall bless us;
and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. - And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
- A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - He coveteth greedily all the day long:
but the righteous giveth and spareth not. - Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. - Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
- Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.
- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
- He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding:
but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. - He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul:
he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
