Bible Verses about 'Peter'

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled. But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.
Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment. The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
