Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

You did not lie to us but to God!”
Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added.
As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as it had upon us at the beginning.
