In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.
When they had finished their prayer, the place where they were gathered together shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and proclaimed the word of God fearlessly.And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
He said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised. He is not here. See the place where they laid him.”But he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him.”
However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago.For if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you truly practice justice between a person and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor follow other gods to your own ruin, then I will let you live in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.
When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all assembled together in one place. Suddenly, there came from heaven a sound similar to that of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were sitting.When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a noise like a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
In my distress I called out to the Lord; he answered by setting me free.From my distress I called upon the Lord; The Lord answered me and put me in an open space.
But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised, as he promised he would be. Come and see the place where he lay.”And the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.”
For thus says the One who is high and exalted, who lives eternally and whose name is holy: I dwell in a high and holy place but I am with the contrite and the humble, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite.For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.”
When I am terrified, I place my trust in you.When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.
Place your hope in the Lord: be strong and courageous in your heart, and place your hope in the Lord.Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.
You who abide in the shelter of the Most High, who rest in the shadow of the Almighty, say to the Lord, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I place my trust.”One who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will lodge in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”
If you are angry, do not sin. Do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not give the devil an opening.Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.
All this took place in order to fulfill what the Lord had announced through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” a name that means “God is with us.”Now all this took place so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: “Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
Can someone hide in a secret place so that I cannot see him? Do I not fill heaven and earth?“Can a person hide himself in hiding places So that I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.
Dearly beloved, never seek revenge. Leave that to the time of retribution. For it is written, “Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. I will repay.”Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation; I place my hope in his word.I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And I wait for His word.
I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you. I will remove from your body a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in its place.Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to place your trust in mortals.It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in people.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You place your trust in God. Trust also in me.Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
Be strong and courageous in your hearts, all you who place your hope in the Lord.Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who wait for the Lord.
The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him.“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I wait for Him.”
But as for me, I will look to the Lord. I place my hope in God my savior; my God will hear me.But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

In God, whose word I praise, in God I place my trust and know no fear; what can people do to me?In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
