- And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
- And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
- Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
- Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.
- And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself.
- Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
- And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
- Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
- Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - Can one go upon hot coals,
and his feet not be burned? - Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
- As in water face answereth to face,

my heart shall rejoice, even mine. - Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established. - When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom. - Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies. - A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - A friend loveth at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame. - A faithful witness will not lie:
but a false witness will utter lies. - Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.Next verse! With image
