Chinese (traditional)- Oh how great is thy goodness,
which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;
which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee
before the sons of men! - Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
- Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
- I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. - For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
- Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
- A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
- Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
- And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
- Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
- Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
- But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
- Surely the Lord God will do nothing,
but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets. - Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - In all labour there is profit:
but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. - For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. - Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
- And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.
- Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
- But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
- He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. - And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is.Next verse!With image
