- Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - For thou, O God, hast proved us:
thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. - I cried unto him with my mouth,
and he was extolled with my tongue. - God shall bless us;
and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. - Sing unto God, sing praises to his name:
extol him that rideth upon the heavens
by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - God setteth the solitary in families:
he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Let my mouth be filled with thy praise
and with thy honour all the day. - My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee;
and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. - Whom have I in heaven but thee?
and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. - My flesh and my heart faileth:
but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion for ever. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of thy name:
and deliver us, and purge away our sins,
for thy name's sake. - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - Defend the poor and fatherless:
do justice to the afflicted and needy. - For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. - For a thousand years in thy sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
and as a watch in the night. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. - When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul.
O come, let us worship and bow down:
let us kneel before the Lord our maker.Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Next verse!With image
