- The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - The Lord watches over the strangers;
he upholds the orphan and the widow,
but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. - He heals the brokenhearted,
and binds up their wounds. - For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;
he adorns the humble with victory. - Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord! - Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers. - But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - Deliverance belongs to the Lord;
may your blessing be on your people! Selah - I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. - O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch. - For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover them with favor as with a shield. - What are human beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them? - I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. - And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed. - But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. - Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right,
and speak the truth from their heart;
who do not slander with their tongue,
and do no evil to their friends,
nor take up a reproach against their neighbors. - Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - I keep the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer,
my God, my rock in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
