- Learn to do good;
seek justice,
rescue the oppressed,
defend the orphan,
plead for the widow. - My friends, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted.
- Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
- Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. - Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
- Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
- Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
that I know very well. - In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
- Who are you to pass judgment on servants of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time.
- He said, “Then put away the foreign gods that are among you, and incline your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.”
- From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so.
- Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.
- We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law.
- For “no human being will be justified in his sight” by deeds prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save and to destroy. So who, then, are you to judge your neighbor?
- For Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
