- I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety. - You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.” - But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with glad cries of deliverance. Selah - The Lord is good,
a stronghold in a day of trouble;
he protects those who take refuge in him. - Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit
the righteous to be moved. - He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. - The clever see danger and hide;
but the simple go on, and suffer for it. - Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—
in peace because they trust in you. - I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
- The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to put confidence in mortals. - The fear of others lays a snare,
but one who trusts in the Lord is secure. - I will satisfy the weary,
and all who are faint I will replenish. - The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
the righteous run into it and are safe. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall never be shaken. - The wealth of the rich is their strong city;
in their imagination it is like a high wall. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. - This God—his way is perfect;
the promise of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all who take refuge in him. - The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. - Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war rise up against me,
yet I will be confident.
But I will sing of your might;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been a fortress for me
and a refuge in the day of my distress.So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”Next verse!With image
