- I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:
my God; in him will I trust. - But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Thou art my hiding place;
thou shalt preserve me from trouble;
thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. - The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved. - He shall cover thee with his feathers,
and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee. - I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
- The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
- It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
- The name of the Lord is a strong tower:
the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - The rich man's wealth is his strong city,
and as an high wall in his own conceit. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. - As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. - The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble. - Though an host should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear:
though war should rise against me,
in this will I be confident.
But I will sing of thy power;
yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning:
for thou hast been my defence
and refuge in the day of my trouble.Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.Next verse!With image
