Bible Verses about 'Savior'

  • Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
  • But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • But I have been the Lord your God
    ever since you came out of Egypt.
    You shall acknowledge no God but me,
    no Savior except me.
  • But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
  • Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
    who daily bears our burdens.
  • Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
  • But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
    I wait for God my Savior;
    my God will hear me.
  • Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.
  • Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
    Put your hope in God,
    for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.
  • Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • Guide me in your truth and teach me,
    for you are God my Savior,
    and my hope is in you all day long.
  • Help us, God our Savior,
    for the glory of your name;
    deliver us and forgive our sins
    for your name’s sake.
  • This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
  • I know that my redeemer lives,
    and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
  • He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
  • Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
    rather, he made himself nothing
    by taking the very nature of a servant,
    being made in human likeness.
    And being found in appearance as a man,
    he humbled himself
    by becoming obedient to death—
    even death on a cross!
  • I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
  • For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
  • Though the fig tree does not bud
    and there are no grapes on the vines,
    though the olive crop fails
    and the fields produce no food,
    though there are no sheep in the pen
    and no cattle in the stalls,
    yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
    I will be joyful in God my Savior.
  • Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
  • In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.
  • For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
  • Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
  • And, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
  • For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

I love you, Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
