- You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting! - But from there you will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Let us test and examine our ways,
and return to the Lord! - The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
“I the Lord search the heart
and test the mind,
to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his deeds.” - These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
- O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar. - Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually! - Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually! - Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it. - Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart. - And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water. - My soul yearns for you in the night;
my spirit within me earnestly seeks you.
For when your judgments are in the earth,
the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. - For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
and his greatness is unsearchable. - Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!
Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last.
