This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. Hebrews 4:15	For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. sin temptation compassion
When you become aware of your guilt in any of these ways, you must confess your sin. Leviticus 5:5	When he realizes his guilt in any of these and confesses the sin he has committed, he shall bring to the Lord as his compensation for the sin that he has committed. confession sin

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. So also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all. 1 Corinthians 15:34	Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Romans 6:13	Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. sin righteousness sacrifice
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin. Leviticus 5:17	If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity. sin law punishment

If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. Matthew 6:14	For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. sin grace forgiveness
Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:17-18	You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. love gentleness anger
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24	He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it. Romans 2:12	For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. sin law judgment
So if your eye—even your good eye—causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. Matthew 5:29	If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. sin desires hell

Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57	But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus gratitude overcoming
But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin. Job 5:17	Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. punishment suffering blessing
But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:15	But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. sin grace Jesus
Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Galatians 6:1	Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. sin temptation desires
Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil. Psalm 119:133	Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me. sin following evil
He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. Titus 2:14	Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. sacrifice purification goodness
Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! Ezekiel 18:30b	Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. conversion sin punishment

But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.

Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
