Sons&p=2 (2/3)

  • God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
  • He who did not withhold his own Son, but gave him up for all of us, will he not with him also give us everything else?
  • Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
  • In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
  • He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
  • I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
  • Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
  • For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
  • And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth.
  • For the Son of Man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay everyone for what has been done.
  • Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel.
  • But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
  • Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  • For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.
  • Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.
  • My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline
    or be weary of his reproof,
    for the Lord reproves the one he loves,
    as a father the son in whom he delights.
  • He has rescued us from the power of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
  • Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
  • The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.”
  • For a child has been born for us,
    a son given to us;
    authority rests upon his shoulders;
    and he is named
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
  • Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
  • While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”
  • Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For it is on him that God the Father has set his seal.
  • And it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
  • Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

Bible verse of the day

Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.
