Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Suffer'
- But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
- For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
- He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:
he that keepeth thee will not slumber. - A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself;
but the simple pass on, and are punished. - Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
- Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved. - But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
- I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
- He that walketh with wise men shall be wise:
but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
- Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
- For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
- For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
- Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. - That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
- Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin.
- If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
- And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.Next verse!With image
