Chinese (traditional)- Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
- But they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”
- Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good.
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. - Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.
- So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
- Honor widows who are widows indeed.
- “Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord Yahweh, “and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?”
- You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another.
- Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
- Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand on the path of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers. - I delight to do your will, my God.
Yes, your law is within my heart. - Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean.
Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes.
Cease to do evil. - Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.
- A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge;
but the simple pass on, and suffer for it. - Listen, my son, and receive my sayings.
The years of your life will be many. - But I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
- So we fasted and begged our God for this, and he granted our request.
- Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives.
In the end, he will stand upon the earth. - Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you.
He will never allow the righteous to be moved. - Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?
- In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- Learn to do well.
Seek justice.
Relieve the oppressed.
Defend the fatherless.
Plead for the widow. - So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.
Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.Next verse! With image
