For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. | For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that you may be established; that is, that I with you may be encouraged in you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine. |

I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. | I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown. |
Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. | You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. |
You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. | You didn’t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you. |
All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. | Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God. |

If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever. | Oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children forever! |
And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us. | By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. |
