- For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
- And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.

but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- Every word of God proves true;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. - The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
“I the Lord search the heart
and test the mind,
to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his deeds.” - He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea. - For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
- Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
- The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth. - For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

and like a high wall in his imagination. - Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

- He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend. - As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.
- Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him,
but the righteous shall live by his faith. - The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. - For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow. - Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?
