Their (4/4)

  • Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.
  • “Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?”
  • Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
  • Realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and worldly, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, homosexuals, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
  • Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
  • It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends;
He will maintain his cause in judgment.
  • For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
  • Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
  • And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.
  • One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But one who is careless of conduct will die.

Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes.
  • A fool always loses his temper,
But a wise person holds it back.
  • But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

  • And because the midwives feared God, He established households for them.

  • I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every person who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—this is the gift of God.
  • Furthermore, as for every person to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also given him the opportunity to enjoy them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God.
  • The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace,
    Because he trusts in You.
  • Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
  • A fool does not delight in understanding,
But in revealing his own mind.
