- Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer, but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior.

- Those who keep the commandment will live;
those who are heedless of their ways will die. - For what will it profit them to gain the whole world and forfeit their life?
- The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
- Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord God, and not rather that they should turn from their ways and live?
- He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

- Even fools who keep silent are considered wise;
when they close their lips, they are deemed intelligent. - But even if you do suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear, and do not be intimidated.
- The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them. - So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.

And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done.
- Every word of God proves true;
