  • But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience.
  • He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to the sky, he blessed them, broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the multitude. They ate and were all filled. They gathered up twelve baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
  • Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
  • God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
  • He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it, for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.”
  • Seek good, and not evil,
    that you may live;
    and so Yahweh, the God of Armies, will be with you,
    as you say.
  • Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
  • Don’t deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn’t tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

  • Yahweh God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever—” Therefore Yahweh God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
  • Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
  • He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”
  • Jesus therefore answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.”
  • I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”
  • Keep your tongue from evil,
    and your lips from speaking lies.
  • He called the multitude to himself with his disciples and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”
  • Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
  • They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him and mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
