- Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today is holy to our Lord. Don’t be grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.”
- If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments, and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
- Though an army should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear.
Though war should rise against me,
even then I will be confident. - Now therefore put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to Yahweh, the God of Israel.
- So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Those who are in the flesh can’t please God.
- So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul.
If you have found it, then there will be a reward:
Your hope will not be cut off. - He said to all, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.”
- He said to them, “Are you also without understanding? Don’t you perceive that whatever goes into the man from outside can’t defile him, because it doesn’t go into his heart, but into his stomach, then into the latrine, making all foods clean?”
