- I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence!
If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I go down to the grave, you are there. - Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
- There is a path before each person that seems right,
but it ends in death. - Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth. - For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven. - For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.
- Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.
- In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.
- For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- There are “friends” who destroy each other,
but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. - But for us,
There is one God, the Father,
by whom all things were created,
and for whom we live.
And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things were created,
and through whom we live. - For,
There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
- There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
- And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.
- There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
- For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
- Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
- Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
- For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
- How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you. We have never even heard of another God like you!
- I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth! - This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
- So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.
- And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped.
