    the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
  • Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
    and why art thou disquieted within me?
    hope thou in God:

    who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

    and under his wings shalt thou trust:

    and whose hope the Lord is.
    For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
    and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
    and shall not see when heat cometh,
    but her leaf shall be green;
    and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
    neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

    and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.

    upon them that hope in his mercy.
  • Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
  • The Lord is my strength and my shield;
    my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
    therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
    and with my song will I praise him.

    O Lord, have we waited for thee;
    the desire of our soul is to thy name,
    and to the remembrance of thee.

    cease from thine own wisdom.

    but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

    but the just shall live by his faith.

    I will wait for the God of my salvation:
    my God will hear me.

  • In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  • But they that wait upon the Lord
    shall renew their strength;
    they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
    they shall run, and not be weary;
    and they shall walk, and not faint.
  • For the word of the Lord is right;
    and all his works are done in truth.
  • Though an host should encamp against me,
    my heart shall not fear:
    though war should rise against me,
    in this will I be confident.
  • No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul:
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple.
