Trust in the psalms (4/4)

  • For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
  • Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
  • Good and upright is the Lord;
    therefore he instructs sinners in the way.
    He leads the humble in what is right,
    and teaches the humble his way.
  • I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
  • Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
  • You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
  • Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
  • But I will sing of your strength;
    I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
    For you have been to me a fortress
    and a refuge in the day of my distress.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
  • One thing have I asked of the Lord,
    that will I seek after:
    that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
    all the days of my life,
    to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
    and to inquire in his temple.
  • “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
  • Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
  • Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  • Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
  • The young lions suffer want and hunger;
    but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
  • Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
  • And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
  • In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
    let me never be put to shame;
    in your righteousness deliver me!
  • And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
  • Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
  • And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.
  • Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
  • So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.
  • I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
  • Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
