Bible Verses about 'Want'
- The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. - The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. - Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
- Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
- That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.
- Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
- For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
- You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.
- But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
- Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.
- You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
- That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
- And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?

- Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
- In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
- A fool has no delight in understanding,
But in expressing his own heart. - But let justice run down like water,
And righteousness like a mighty stream. - For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
- For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established— that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
- For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
- If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
- For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

It shall not return to Me void,

And return to the Lord.
Say to Him,
“Take away all iniquity;
Receive us graciously,
For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.” - Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke? - But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.

“Stand in the ways and see,
And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,
And walk in it;
Then you will find rest for your souls.

And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
