- Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

- Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and those who find it are few in number.

for to you I lift up my soul. - In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- Whoever heeds admonition is on the path to life,

Do not fret over the man who prospers
because of his evil schemes. - Let the wicked abandon their ways
and those who are evil their thoughts.
Let them return to the Lord
so that he may have mercy upon them;
and to our God,
for he is rich in forgiveness. - When God saw by their actions that they had turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not inflict upon them the punishment that he had threatened.
- Likewise, you who are husbands must show consideration for your wives in your life together. Treat your wife with respect, for even though she is the weaker partner, she is also an equal heir of God’s gift of life. Thus, your prayers will not be hindered in any way.
- You shall keep these things that I command you today in your heart. Teach them to your children. You shall talk of them when you are sitting in your home, and when you are walking along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.
- In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.
- Just as you do not know the path of the wind
or how the body is formed in a woman’s womb,
so you do not know the work of God,
the Creator of all. - In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
- In that way, I can come to you in joy, if God so wills, and be refreshed together with you.
