Chinese (traditional)- What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
- Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have boldness before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him.
- Beloved, we are God's children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him as he is. And all who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.
- For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.
- For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
let your face shine, that we may be saved. - And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
- And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
- For ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,
‘For we too are his offspring.’ - Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. - And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light.
- And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors. - For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin.
- For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
- For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, busy with this very thing.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
- Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
