We (4/4)

  • Surely he has borne our sickness
    and carried our suffering;
    yet we considered him plagued,
    struck by God, and afflicted.
  • But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ.
  • We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
  • He was despised
    and rejected by men,
    a man of suffering
    and acquainted with disease.
    He was despised as one from whom men hide their face;
    and we didn’t respect him.
  • Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
  • The Word became flesh and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the only born Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.
  • He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.
  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
  • Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
  • He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
  • For we all stumble in many things. Anyone who doesn’t stumble in word is a perfect person, able to bridle the whole body also.
  • This is the day that Yahweh has made.
    We will rejoice and be glad in it!
  • Therefore you are great, Yahweh God. For there is no one like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
  • Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.
  • But he was pierced for our transgressions.
    He was crushed for our iniquities.
    The punishment that brought our peace was on him;
    and by his wounds we are healed.
  • Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
  • For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
  • While we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
  • For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
  • Can anyone forbid these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just like us.
  • May the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all men, even as we also do toward you.
  • For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.
  • We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds.
  • Who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
  • But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.

Bible verse of the day

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
