For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. 1 John 5:4	For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. faith God overcoming

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6	But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. faith joy reward
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 1 John 4:18	There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. love fear punishment
To acquire wisdom is to love yourself; people who cherish understanding will prosper. Proverbs 19:8	He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. wisdom life mind
And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers. 1 John 4:21	And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. law love friendship
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh. John 6:51	I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. bread Jesus body
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 2 Corinthians 9:6	But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. giving harvest generosity
But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. John 3:21	But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. light truth obedience
Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” Mark 8:34	And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. salvation Jesus following
Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. Proverbs 10:19	In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. sin speaking
Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. John 10:9	I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. Jesus salvation
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. 1 John 4:16	And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. trust love God
Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9	He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. forgiveness friendship
But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers. 1 Timothy 5:8	But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. family relationships children
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” John 8:12	Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:13	Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. forgiveness peace neighbor
Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. 1 John 3:4	Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. sin law righteousness
So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them. If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? 1 John 4:20	If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? love God family
