| Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ | Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. |
| And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. | The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. |

| Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. | Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. |

Such people are worse than unbelievers. | Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. |
| And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers. | And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. |
| Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. | Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. |
| The father of godly children has cause for joy. What a pleasure to have children who are wise. | The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. |
| Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. | Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. |
| Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut. | Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues. |
| But the one who endures to the end will be saved. | But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. |
| Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them.
