- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
- He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
- O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth. - The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
- Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
- In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - The Lord is my portion, saith my soul;
therefore will I hope in him. - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
- Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. - Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way. - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:
for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety. - That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
- Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
- For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
- And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
- If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
- And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
- Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Delight thyself also in the Lord:
