For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality. Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins. Isaiah 49:15-16	Can a woman forget the infant at her breast; or feel no compassion for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:7-8	Indeed, it is seldom that anyone will die for a just person, although perhaps for a good person someone might be willing to die. Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” Romans 7:7	What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.” sin law desires
If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? 1 John 3:17	If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him? money neighbor compassion

But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. But in your great mercy, you did not destroy them completely or abandon them forever. What a gracious and merciful God you are! Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. 1 John 4:18	In love there is no fear; indeed, perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not yet achieved perfection in love. love fear punishment
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Mark 8:36	What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his very life? greed materialism life
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Romans 8:37	No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us. overcoming God love
Suppose you sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands. Even if you are unaware of what you have done, you are guilty and will be punished for your sin. Leviticus 5:17	When someone sins and does any of the things that the Lord has forbidden, even if he does not realize he did it, he has still committed an offense and must bear his guilt. sin law punishment
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 1 Peter 3:15	Rather, revere Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be prepared to offer an explanation to anyone who asks you to justify the hope that is in you. However, do so with gentleness and respect. evangelism Jesus hope
That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25	Therefore, heed my words. Do not be concerned about your life and what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear. Surely life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. food life worrying
But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.” John 7:33	Jesus then said, “I will remain with you only for a short time longer, and then I shall return to him who sent me.” ascension Jesus
But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside. Job 23:10-11	And yet he is aware of everywhere I go; if he were to test me, I would emerge like pure gold. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth.
