I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and might,
and have now made known to me what we asked of you,
for you have made known to us the king's matter. - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
- Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
- And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
