| Banish grief from your heart and ignore the sufferings of your body, for youth and the prime of life are fleeting. | Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity. |
| You will show me the path to life; you will fill me with joy in your presence and everlasting delights at your right hand. | You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. |
| Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. | You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you. |

| Fix your thoughts on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth. | Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. |
| Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away. | Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. |
