Banish grief from your heart and ignore the sufferings of your body, for youth and the prime of life are fleeting. | Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, And put away evil from your flesh, For childhood and youth are vanity. |
You will show me the path to life; you will fill me with joy in your presence and everlasting delights at your right hand. | You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. |
Thus you could understand that the Lord, your God, was disciplining you, just like a father disciplines his son. | You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you. |
The one who provides seed for sowing and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your righteousness. | Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness. |
Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming. | Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. |

This must not be so with you. However, if you truly amend your ways and your deeds, if you are upright in your dealings with your neighbor; if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow; if you do not shed innocent blood in this place; and if you do not follow other gods and thereby cause your own destruction, then I will allow you to live in this place, in the land that I gave as a permanent gift to your fathers long ago. | For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever. |

Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself; thus my lips will speak your praise. If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. | That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. |

Dispose my heart to follow your statutes and to flee selfish gain. | Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness. |
Take heed to follow the commandments and the laws that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you: to love the Lord, your God, and to walk in his ways and to observe his commandments, holding fast to him and serving him with all your heart and all your soul. | But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
Even though I wander through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are at my side, with your rod and your staff that comfort me. | Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. |
Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness have been yours from of old. Fix your thoughts on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth. | Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. |
Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away. | Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. |
