- For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever.
- I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud,
and your sins like mist;
return to me, for I have redeemed you. - Repent therefore, and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out.
- Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work. But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it.
- For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm give them victory;
but your right hand, and your arm,
and the light of your countenance,
for you delighted in them. - I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
- Banish anxiety from your mind, and put away pain from your body; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.
- Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. - Jesus said to her, “Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”
- Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love,
for they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
according to your steadfast love remember me,
for your goodness' sake, O Lord! - If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
- For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - Know that wisdom is such to your soul;
if you find it, you will find a future,
and your hope will not be cut off. - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness;
answer me in your righteousness. - Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your doings
from before my eyes;
cease to do evil. - Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.
- Turn my heart to your decrees,
and not to selfish gain. - Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—
they comfort me. - I the Lord am your God; follow my statutes, and be careful to observe my ordinances, and hallow my sabbaths that they may be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I the Lord am your God.
- Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- I shall walk at liberty,
for I have sought your precepts.
