- For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
- Thy word is true from the beginning:

- And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

- Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

- And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you.

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
- No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
- He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. - For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
- Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus.
- Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
- Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord;
that walketh in his ways. - But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
- Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
- But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
- I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
- See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
- But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
- As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
- Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
- I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
