- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
- Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
- What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
- Know also that wisdom is like honey for you:
If you find it, there is a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off. - As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
- You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
- Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
- To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
- The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.”
- Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
- Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
- If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.
- Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
- The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad. - You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord. - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
- Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. - He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
- Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
- Restore us, Lord God Almighty;
make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved. - Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
