- I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.

- And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
- Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
- But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
- As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
- It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy,

and night unto night sheweth knowledge. - Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
