- This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
- And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
- A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
- My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul;
but he that despiseth his ways shall die. - The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
- But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
- And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
- If ye love me, keep my commandments.
- If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
- I made haste, and delayed not
to keep thy commandments. - Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.
- Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
- The wise in heart will receive commandments:
but a prating fool shall fall. - With my whole heart have I sought thee:
O let me not wander from thy commandments. - Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
- Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments. - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
